The first meeting of the steering committee of the second Scientific and research Olympiad of petroleum engineering was held at February 21st 2018 with the presence of Dr. Jafarpour head of cultural commission of the parliament , Mr. Hendi head of exploration department of Iranian National Oil Company, Dr. Shakeri director general of research in Oil Ministry and faculty of members of various universities and representatives of public and private sectors of petroleum industry.
The first meeting of the steering committee of the second Scientific and research Olympiad of petroleum engineering was held at February 21st 2018 with the presence of Dr. Jafarpour head of cultural commission of the parliament , Mr. Hendi head of exploration department of Iranian National Oil Company, Dr. Shakeri director general of research in Oil Ministry and faculty of members of various universities and representatives of public and private sectors of petroleum industry.
At the start of this meeting Dr. Jamshidi scientific secretary of the Olympiad presented a short history of this competition and explained different plans of the Olympiad and its differences with the one which was held in the previous year. He also emphasized the importance of providing a basement for relations of petroleum industry with academic and research departments and solving the problems of the industry collaboratively.
Then other members of the committee explained their ideas in order to better organizing the Olympiad. They also added that problems of the industry could be solved in the research section and through designed challenges.
Finally, 10th of March was chosen as the deadline for designing the challenges by companies and it was also mentioned that the participating groups in research section must prepare their reports by the end of May.
