The first national scientific and research Olympiad of petroleum engineering  was held by Sharif University of Technology and sponsorships of Iran’s Oil ministry, Pars drilling fluids company and North Drilling Company. In this Olympiad 119 students from 13 universities took part and top students in both sections were honored at the closing ceremony.
